Basic Role Playing Rules.
Treatment Of Members:
As with the regular rules of this board-
Treat all members the same way you want to be treated.
That means, with respect and common courtesy. No flaming, bashing, or badmouthing anyone. Of course there will be some fights in the RP and the characters loose their temper, but don't use that as a way to purposely hurt a member.
Content:
All content must be rated PG-13 or below. I know today "Bewitched" is rated G, however back in the day I don't believe it was. Due to witchcraft/Spells things may go above a G rating, but lets keep things toned down.
Basic Knowledge:
You should at least have some basic knowledge of the T.V. show "Bewitched". For instance know what kind of electronics they used, and what they did. Since they used the word witch for females and Warlock for males that is how we are doing it here.
Posts:
In all role play posts please write in the third person.
Example: After seeing her husband, Darrin to the door for work, Samantha turned around and headed back to the kitchen to tidy up, and begin her day when her mother popped in unexpectedly.
Also posts should be of reasonable length such as at least one paragraph or two. A simple paragraph consists of five sentences.
Double Posting:
Please refrain from doing so. Your character can not be in two places at once. It would be nice of you to wait at least 2 or 3 days for someone to respond before you post again or move onto another thread.
Font:
Please do not change the font size, make thoughts or speech in bold, change the color, and please no blockquotes. The font is the way it is for a reason. So it is readable for all people.
Characters:
The maximum amount of characters you are aloud to have is two. No more than three characters will be permitted.
The only way you may play more than two or three characters is if you are invited/offered another character by one of the admins. There are of course qualifications.
- You must be following the rules at all times.
- You must be active, and not leaving anyone behind in posts.
- Your posts are well crafted.
Out Of Character-OOC:
Please try to keep out of character posts out of role play posts unless it's absolutely necessary.
Example of necessary ooc: (OOC: Sorry this post is short but I'm rather low on time.) or (OOC: I won't be able to get online for a day or two so you may write around my character.) and (OOC: Permission was given to god-mod.)
The word is Blackfire.
Grammar:
Now we all know not everyone is an English major or a super speller, but spelling and grammar is important so we can understand the posts a little better. So feel free to use the spell checker or type your post in Word.
Language:
We've never heard any cuss words in the show so it's not necessary to use them here. However if you feel like you must insert a word before another you may use simple words like: Dagnabbit, or dash it all.
Net Talk:
There should be no net talk in your posts.
Example: lol,brb,c ya.
Words and numbers should be typed out if spoken.
Quotations:
Do not put quotation marks around what are supposed to be thoughts as it can be mistaken for dialogue. Please put all thoughts in italic using [/ i]
God-Modding:
God modding is when you speak or make a character that is not your own say or do something. If you extend your characters hand for a handshake and type that the other character shook your characters hand that is god modding. Wait for the other person to respond. God-Modding is only aloud if you are specifically given permission by the other person.
Tagging:
Tis simple really. Just simply Tag whom is to respond at the end of your post. More information can be found in the Posting Guide.
Example: If I created a thread and anyone could respond I'd put Tag: Anyone.
O.K. actually the word is Sister. This is just to make sure you read the rules...all of them.
Rules are subject to change if deemed necessary.
